The story behind
North Equity's founding partners all have started and built technology companies with Day 1 efficiencies in mind, building dynamic value creation plans as owner/operator/investor.
Inception
Matt Sechrest developed an extensive personal porfolio around transformational AI investments, including founding and incubating an AI SaaS startup.
2024
Matt, Nacho and Momchil met as investors, collaborating together on an AI startup coinvestment. It became clear all three former founders and current investors had a shared vision for building a future-forward, AI-first portfolio.
2025
The three cofounders assembled a team of like-minded investment professionals to execute an AI-first investment thesis. Their first joint deal was successfully completed in Q4 2024, with plans to accelerate the investment pace in the coming year.
